It's already happened...and we need your suggestions!

I'll start with the good news. We had a lovely day on Saturday - put together our bikes, bought some bike maps, sat at a cafe and watched people, wandered the city and went out to dinner and a club. The jet lag is almost all gone. We are pleased.

Now for the bad news - it is day 2 and we have run out of things to talk about. ;-) We need your help - use the comment feature to suggest random topics of conversation - and we have 3 months worth to fill, so as many random topics as you can think of would be appreciated.

You can also suggest theme days - for example Sunday will be Andrea Day as we ride to Buchholz, a town north of Freiburg. (We hope you and Paul are having a great honeymoon in Greece.)

Each day, we will try to 'channel our inner Karen (Morris)' We have decided that we will channel Karen's social ease and energy to meet new people. How can we honour you? Suggest a theme.

Okay, back to our books and magazines...

  1. Hey Peter and Alice,
Glad you made it safe and sound (the elephant does work). Here are some suggestions:
    1. Let me tell you about the time I got caught _________
    2. Desert Island (food/books/music/friends) - if you could only pick 3.
    3. Is music getting better or worse?
    4. Who are the greatest rock bands - what makes them great?
    5. If you were the prime minister of Canada what would you do first.

Umm - how could you honour me - there are so many ways however if I had to pick one - let you first beer of the day/week - make it a Stephen.

  2. Jacq suggests the following topics:

    1. What are your 3 favourite YouTube videos?
    2. What is the worst Xmas present you ever got and why did it stink so much?
    3. Give your thoughts on Harper's social policies in this current economy and/or on his timely demise.

Jane suggests trying to fit as many lewd remarks as possible into your day's public mealtime conversations. Or try perpetuating a Canadian stereotype by being painfully, inconveniently polite for a day. Finally, see how much Canadian Tire money you can spend in small shops there.

Jacq would like you to honour her by giving a short speech about what a great kid she is to a university audience or by purchasing and eating a substantial quantity of Milka. (Photographic evidence is requested.)

I would like you to honour me by having a romantic, candlelit, wine-soaked bath.
    (Photographic evidence is, again, requested.)

  4. Hi guys, I am loving your blog - talk about living vicariously...sounds like you are having a wonderful time and I am glad to hear the knees are working again (I have had runners knee before so I know how much that hurts).
My suggested topic is "who would you like to live vicariously through (like we are through you!)"
    Take care of yourselves!
