It was a lovely day on Saturday, June 27 and lots of friends came over to hang out by the pool, eat, drink and commune with the mosquitoes. Alice and I were particularly touched by the number of friends who came to send us off (we estimate 40-50 throughout the day) .Though we didn't get to spend as much time with each catching up and saying goodbye, we were reminded of what a great place we live in and what a lovely community we are a part of. It is something that we are aware of on a daily basis, but our connection to Guelph and our friends was further intensified. We haven't left and yet we are already missing everyone.
It seems like we are ready to go - all packed up, to do lists completed and heartfelt goodbyes said. So all that's left is to sit and wait for Thursday...We wish we could already be there.
